My name is Amy and I have been researching and learning about dogs practically all of my life. I was born an animal lover, with dogs being my strongest love. I have known many, many dogs, probably petted and seen hundreds, and loved all I have known. Dogs inspire me. I plan to own, show, and breed Chihuahuas and maybe other breeds in the future.
Anyway, I got involved with Chihuahuas because one of my family member's friends owned a couple of Chihuahua mixes. I loved them to death. Their names were Chucha and Chango. Chango was half Dachshund and Chucha was almost full Chi. Then, I became involved with two other purebred Chihuahuas named Ren and Trixy. Ren and Trixy were very tiny, and had had a ruff start in life. They were rescued from an animal shelter by a friend. Trixy was soon, sadly, relinquished back to the shelter because "she barked too much." This made me very sad and disappointed in my friend for doing this. Ren, on the other hand, stayed around for a long time. Chihuahuas proved to be a breed I love, and will never forget. Although I will probably have dogs of other breeds as well, chis hold a truly special place in my heart.
I have met many Chihuahuas since then, and still know Chango. I dog-sat three Chihuahuas for almost a year. I dog-sat them 3 to 5 times a week, for about 1 to 5 hours each time. I also dog-sat these three chis for two weeks straight one time, and then one week straight, all at my own home. Their names were Blasto, Bomber, and Tank. Bomber and Tank were the mother and father of Blasto. I loved them dearly, and was heartbroken when they had to move. They were my heart dogs.
So, I have had my share of chi experience, knowing 6 Chis very closely, and also meeting several over the years. I hope to own my own purebred Chihuahua in the summer of 2009.
Thanks for visiting. Below are some pictures of some of the Chis mentioned above that have been in my life.

Above:This dog looks JUST LIKE Trixy, although this one is a male. Since I don't have any pictures of her, i'll give you a perfect idea of what she looked like.

Above: A Ren look-alike. Since I do not have any pictures of him, this will give you a perfect idea of what he looked like.

Above: This dog looks almost JUST LIKE Chucha. Since I can't find any pictures of her at the moment, this will give you a good idea of what she looked like.
